Alberto Chalon

Alberto Chalon is an entrepreneur-turned-investor with nearly 30 years of experience building and scaling businesses, and over a decade of experience investing in technology companies across Europe.

He began his career as a founder in the fashion industry, building and scaling multiple B2B and B2C businesses with a strong focus on profitability and cash-flow discipline. In 2013, he co-founded Qwant, Europe’s leading privacy-first search engine, where he served as CEO and led strategic partnerships and institutional fundraising, which was sold in 2023.

Since 2018, Alberto has focused full-time on technology investing across primary and secondary transactions. He was selected as the first Italian Business Angel by the European Angels Fund and later certified as a Super Angel by the European Investment Fund.

In 2021, he founded Giano Capital, a European secondary investment platform providing liquidity solutions to founders, employees and early investors. As both an entrepreneur and investor, his goal is to fix the lack of liquidity options available in Europe.

Andreas Wiele is an international media and digital executive with a long track record in transforming and scaling businesses, both as an operator and investor. Over a 20-year tenure on the executive board of Axel Springer SE, Europe’s largest publisher, he helped lead the company’s transition from traditional print to a leading European digital media group and built a world-class classifieds business in jobs and real estate. From 2022 until 2025, Andreas served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the publicly listed ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, Germanys’ largest broadcasting and streaming network.

Mauro Marconi

Head of Investor Relations

Mauro Marconi is an investor relations and business development professional with over a decade of experience across venture capital, private equity and financial markets. He has led fundraising strategy, LP relations and investor engagement for international investors, building strong relationships with institutional investors, family offices and emerging managers.

Niraj Pabari

Director

Niraj Pabari is Giano Capital’s first employee and a seasoned investor and operator with over 15 years of experience spanning venture capital, corporate finance, asset management, and technology startups. Prior to joining Giano Capital, Niraj held key roles at Neventa Capital, J.P. Morgan, Axia Investments, and Thomson Reuters, and he also founded two technology startups.

Mark Bower-Easton

Senior Advisor, Capital Formation

Mark Bower-Easton is Senior Advisor, Capital Formation at Giano Capital, bringing over 20 years of experience in venture capital, private wealth, and institutional fundraising. He advises on capital formation strategy, LP engagement, co-investment programmes, and platform development, with a focus on UK and EMEA family offices, and UHNW investors.

Roberto Strazzeri

Investment Professional

Prior to joining Giano Capital, Roberto worked in technology investment banking, holding positions at GP Bullhound in London and BlueBull in Madrid. Roberto holds a Master’s in Finance from ESADE Business School and is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish.
